Personal report

At the end of July, I went to the forest in France for a weekend. Together with my father, we have driven approximately 2.500 kilometres and visited all 12 plots of land. At least six plots of land can be planted. The others are completely overgrown. Through the plots that are fully-grown, we have already around 2.200 trees in total!

We used the first day to visit the plots one by one. We made many photos and collected information that may be useful for planting the trees.

To ensure that the plots are going to be planted, we have contacted a farmer in the neighbourhood, who could mow and plow the land for us. Which makes it easier for us to plant

The second day we went back to the plots of land where we could fly the drone. We have succeeded in filming on three plots. Unfortunately, it was too windy to go higher with the drone. At the end of the afternoon, we went into the most overgrown plot of land, hoping to spot some animals. Besides many butterflies and a lot of buzz, we have not been able to spot anything besides traces. In the evening, we spoke with the owners of the B&B to ask if they wanted to participate in our project. They are willing to help us with overnight stays, breakfast and dinner

The land is very beautiful and with this visit, we can make concrete plans to plant the first trees.
