Specific provisions on our website and the use of cookies

Cookies

The Green Core use cookies to make your use of the website easier based on your own user preferences. We learn about your preferences, e.g., by keeping track of which pages you visit on our website.
Our own cookies, however, do not identify you: they only help us to improve the functionality of our website by enabling us to understand what your interests are and to determine how effective the content of our website is. As we also make use of third party cookies, we request your permission to use and store cookies prior to you using the website. Below we provide you with detailed information on which cookies we use and what they are used for. If you have any questions concerning the cookies and our policy please contact the undersigned Sarah Salhi (head of the Green Core marketing) via info@recypack.com.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. The primary function of the cookies is to distinguish a web user from another web user.  In this way we can also remember your preferences when you are using our website. Unless you have set your browser in such way that these cookies are refused, our system will install cookies as soon as you visit our website.

Which cookies do we use?

When visiting our website we install cookies (1st party cookies) or third party (3rd party cookies) at our request. Our own cookies ensures for the customer-friendly functioning of our website, so that you do not have to enter your own data every time. We use third parties to improve our website based on statistical data and thus ensuring the creation of a user-friendly website. For cookies installed by third parties, we refer you to statements that these parties provide on their respective websites. Note: we cannot influence the content of such statements or the content of the cookies of such third parties. Such anonymous cookies are there to improve your user experience and make it more personal. Depending on the purpose for which they serve, cookies are functionally or non-functionally referred. Functional cookies come exclusively from us and they ensure an optimal experience of our website by informing us about your preferences every time you visit our website (such as remembering your registration data, your language preference or remembering products that you place in your shopping cart). Non-functional cookies are for statistical, social, targeting or commercial purposes. Such non-functional cookies form part of the 3rd party cookies.

  • Statistical cookies anonymously record your demographic data, interests, visited pages and actions on the website (Google analytics, Google tag manager, Kameleoon, Hotjar).
  • Social cookies allow connection to social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • Targeting cookies enables a profile build up based on your browsing behaviour for displayed advertisements to be tailored to your specific interests (Criteo, Target2Sell, Facebook, SalesSycle).
  • Commercial cookies keep track of how many ads and which ads were shown to you (Doubleclick, Google Adwords, Bing ads).

The third parties with whom we cooperate

From the following third parties we use non-functional cookies via our website:

  • DoubleClick by Google – Google Adwords – Bing ads: these cookies keep track of which pages you view on our website, for example how often you have seen an advertisement, whether you click on ads and if you order something after you have seen an advertisement. These cookies are also used to create interest profiles for advertising purposes.
  • Facebook: via Facebook’s algorithm, we are able to display relevant advertisements based on your interests and products you viewed on our website. In addition, we use the Facebook’s analysis tool which allows us to analyse who our followers are and what actions they take on our Facebook page.
  • Google Analytics: this is an analytical cookie that keeps statistical data about your use of our website as well as information on how you found our website. This provides us with better insight into how often our website is visited, which parts of our website are visited most frequently and in which areas we can optimise our website.
  • Google Tag Manager: an analytical cookie for collecting statistical information on the actions that visitors implement on our website. This data allows us to improve our website.
  • Google Optimize: by means of this cookie, that determines which actions you perform on our website, we can improve both our website as well as your user experience and test improvements to our website.

For how long do cookies remain on your device?

  • Permanent cookies remain on your device until you (or your browser) know them, sometimes for a shorter period of time, as recorded in the cookie itself. They are activated every time you visit the website that has installed such cookie (e.g. cookies installed by social media such as Facebook, Google Analytics etc). Most non-functional cookies are permanent cookies.
  • Session cookies allow us to simplify your transactions and link them together during a browser session. A browser session starts when you open the browser window and ends when you close the browser window. Session cookies are always temporary and are deleted as soon as you close the browser. Most functional cookies are session cookies.

Delete or disable cookies via your browser & possible consequences

If you do not want websites to place cookies on your device or if you want to delete the installed cookies, you can change the cookie settings on the relevant device in your own web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Apple Safari, etc.). These settings can usually be found in the ‘Options’ or ‘Preferences’ menu of your web browser. You can also adjust your settings so that your browser refuses all cookies or only the cookies from third parties. If you do not wish to make use of our cookies, we cannot guarantee that our website will work properly. For example, it is possible that some functions of the webshop could be lost or that certain pages cannot be displayed at all. Furthermore, refusing the cookies does not mean that you will no longer see ads. The ads are then no longer adapted to your interests and are repeated more often. How you can go about adjusting your settings differs per browser. To better understand these settings, the following links may be useful. You can also consult the ‘Help’ function in your web browser for more information.

Via the ‘Your Online Choices‘ website you will find a list of all the organisations that have installed cookies on your computer and any log-on name posted. Here you can disable cookies from specific parties.
